RoleTwist uses Google Sign-In and Firebase to let users match with another player and chat in real time.
Information We Collect
When you sign in, we receive basic account information from Google, such as your Google account identifier and, where available, your display name and email address. We also store data needed to run the app, such as queue status, room membership, prompt votes, likes, and chat messages.
How We Use Information
We use this information to authenticate users, match players into chat rooms, display prompts, support live messaging, and keep the service running properly.
Real-Time Chat Data
Messages sent in RoleTwist are stored in Firebase so the chat can function. Prompt likes, prompt votes, typing indicators, and room state may also be stored as part of the live experience.
How Data Is Stored
RoleTwist currently uses Firebase services provided by Google to store authentication and app data.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Data may be processed by service providers used to operate the app, such as Google Firebase.
Data Retention
We retain app data for as long as needed to operate and improve the service. Some room and chat data may remain stored until it is removed by the app or manually deleted.
Your Choices
You can stop using the app at any time. If you want your stored data removed, contact us using the contact details you provide for the service.
Children
RoleTwist is not intended for children under 13.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
